Yogurt is always a great way to have delicious foods, deserts, drinks that are healthier for you, and have great flavor, texture & moisture, and reduces fat and calories. The smooth & creamy texture mixes very easily into your batters. As we try to live healthier today we often need some delicious recipes to help bring the tastebuds of our children into loving the tastes of healthy living. So here I want to share some wonderful yogurt drink recipes with you that are delicious and nutritious!
(1) "Strawberry-Mango Smoothies
In a blender, place:
1 1/2 Cups fat free creamy strawberry yogurt
1 Cup frozen strawberries or raspberries
1 medium ripe mango, cut into chunks
1 Cup crushed ice
Cover and blend on high speed for about 1 minute, or until smooth. If too think, blend in a little skim milk. Pour into 4 or 5 glasses.

1 16 oz. bag frozen sliced peaches, w/out syrup, 4 slices reserved and thawed
Additional frozen(thawed) raspberries w/out syrup for garnish, if desired
1. In blender, place raspberries, milk, tea mix, and yogurt. Cover; blend on high speed 10 to 20 seconds, or until smooth.
2. Add half of the peach slices; cover and blend on high speed until smooth. Add remaining peach slices; cover and blend on high speed until smooth.
3. Pour into 4 glasses; garnish each with peach slice and raspberries. Serve immediately.

Ingredients:
1 cup frozen mango
1 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup milk
3 1/2 cups of water
2 Tbsp ground flaxseed
Directions
1. Add fruit, flaxseed, milk and water to blender. Blend about 30-40+ seconds, and enjoy.
Makes about 32 oz. of smoothie…enough for 4 cups!
**Note: I did not add any “sweeteners” to this smoothie. I thought it tasted great and both boys drank theirs right up. If you use not so sweet mangoes or raspberries, you might consider adding 1/2 cup of your favorite sweetener.
What’s your favorite thing to add into a smoothie??? I also like tossing in spinach and making “green juice,” as the boys call it!
Makes about 32 oz. of smoothie…enough for 4 cups!
